How to create height in a bakery counter

A flat counter looks half empty, even when it is full. Products at the back disappear
behind the ones in front, and customers walk past what they cannot see.

Adding height fixes that. It shows more of your assortment in the same space and
makes every product look more inviting. Here are three easy ways to do it.

1. Work with steps

Steps are the quickest way to add height. Place them under your trays and the products at the back move up into view,
instead of hiding behind the ones in front.

The benefit
  • Everything is visible. Customers see every product, including the ones at the back.
  • More room. Height uses the space above the counter, so you can show more without crowding the front.
  • Easy to clean. Steps lift out easily, so the counter stays tidy and hygienic.

2. Add risers

Risers lift single products or trays a few centimetres above the rest. Use different heights side by side and
your display gets rhythm and depth.

The benefit

Focus on your best sellers.
The product on top is the one customers notice first.

A richer presentation.
Different heights make a flat counter look full and inviting.

Flexible.
Move them around whenever the assortment changes.

3. Finish with counter displays

Transparent displays create an extra level and spotlight selected products, without blocking the view.
Combine them with trays: the products stay on the tray, not on the display.

The benefit

Highlight what matters.
New products and promotions get their own stage.

Protected presentation.
Products stay clearly visible behind a clean, transparent surface.

Simple maintenance.
Trays come out for cleaning while the display stays in place.

Why this makes the difference

For the baker, a fuller-looking counter shows more products and keeps the display easy to maintain. For you, steps, risers and displays are natural add-ons to every tray order: one counter, more items per project.
